Emanual

This is my little nephew, Emanual! At the time that I took these pictures he was around 3 months or so. Mark and I drove down to Washington to spend Christmas with his family and while we were there I took some pictures of this little guy. Man was he fussy, all he wanted to do was eat, and the best part when we took all his clothes off, including the diaper, he was so comfortable that he peed all over the floor. Needless to say, the photo shoot didn't last too long, but I did manage to capture a few cute ones anyway.

Trash the Dress Dominican Style

So after a full day of celebrations, games, jumping in the pool with clothes on (even I participated in that) and enjoying each others company, I made Codie and Danielle get up at 6:30am, which is 3:30am Calgary time, to go down to the beach and take day after shots on their first day of being married. They were such good sports, with the water being a little cooler than desired they were willing to do it for the camera.

Codie & Danielle Wedding

I have been putting this post off for too long now, only because I don't know how to put into words what I experienced on this trip. This was the first Wedding that I had shot solo and it couldn't have gone smoother! I can't even put into words what this time meant to me and my husband, we got a little sun burnt, made some new friends and most important we will hold these memories for a lifetime!

Codie and Danielle decided to have the wedding on the second last day of our trip, which was perfect. It gave everyone time to just relax, have fun and get to know one another so when the wedding day arrived it was just that, relaxing and fun!

Thank you so much you guys for asking Mark and I to be such a special part of your day!

Webber's & Livermore's

I have known Katie now for 12 years, eee how the time passes! So when she asked if I would take family pictures I was like no problem it will be like taking pictures of my own family. It was such a nice day and I just love the colors of fall in Calgary. They were so much fun to spend the afternoon with, especially when we took the jumping pictures and each of them grabbed as many leaves as they possible could and when they jumped it was like a leave storm, I couldn't even see any faces. I truly think that each one of them has a child trapped inside their adult body and I LOVE that!! Not something that you find in a whole family, usually just in one or two of the kids. You all are so very special to me and I'm so grateful that you asked me to take your family photos.

Codie & Danielle Engagement Photos

Codie went to high school with Mark, now I'm going to date myself but, that was almost 10 years ago, so these 2 go pretty far back. When I first met Danielle we had gone out to watch a hockey game and when we were both yelling at the screen thinking that they could hear us, I knew that she would fit in just perfect! When they told us the good news about them getting married we were so excited for them because you can just see that they truely love each other. When Codie and Danielle asked me to do their photos I was ecstatic, we immediately talked about locations and decided on a place in Banff where they could also bring 3 100 pound pups along with them. These dogs are so very important to them and they love each as if they were their own kids. I loved spending the day with you guys in Banff, I'd say that I can't wait for the Wedding but it already happened, so instead I will say I can't wait for the one year anniversary!! Same time, same place right ;)

Paul & Jamie Engagement Photos

So I did Paul & Jamie's Engagement photos last summer, which feels like so long ago but that means that their Wedding is getting closer! These two are so much fun and really up for anything, I love the look and feel of these pictures and I'm very excited to shoot your wedding day in Banff!

Monica Maternity

Both my husband and I are so excited to welcome the newest addition to the Schiwy family. Andy (Mark's cousin) and his wife Monica are the first out of 5 boys to expect a new little wee one. Everyone has bets on if it is going to be another boy or the first official girl into the family, as a lot of people are expecting a girl I know that either way this child is going to be loved!
Congratulations Andy and Monica!

*Update* Andy and Monica welcomed Spencer Joesph into the world on March 17, 2009!
